"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and portion forever." - Psalm 73:26 Thursday, March 22, 2012, 11:30:00 PM
Learned so much these two days feel so privileged to be able to receive spiritual inheritance from people who have gone before. Feel so privileged that Jesus disciples me. Thankful for people who care about my life just because. Love is a choice. Tuesday, March 20, 2012, 10:17:00 PM

Studied at my sister's study table today saw some medals hanging and flipped them to find one of my favorite ones- not because it reflected the most spectacular result, but because it reminded me of how much support there was in getting there, how much was invested not particularly by me, but by the people who took it upon themselves to see that I succeeded. I remember the journey- the emotional upheavals, the mental barriers that had to be broken down, the Goliaths- and along with them every arduous stone-slinging process. But then I also remember the heated conversation that ensued.. and remember that I never properly appreciated. And I know.. that if I could do it all over right again now I would give you the hugest of hugs and tell you that I love you and appreciate you beyond the victories and beyond the gleam of every medal. speedy recovery + word that complemented sermon yesterday + encouragement (immense) --> Insane grace & love love that in low places God isolates me and picks me up Himself. and in the slightest moment of despair, "I will bring you through every season, lean on Me." - "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted his soul to an idol, or swoon deceitfully." - Psalms 24:2-4 "Because Your love is better than life, my lips will glorify You." - Psalms 63:3 Refiner's fire, my heart's one desire. - - on a different note absolutely loved the conversation.. but reminded me of how much I dislike expectations I do not want because chances are I do not live up to them. Cannot decide if I should be convicted to be a better stewart of gifts/talents or if it comes with maturity I do not have... Surrender. Saturday, March 10, 2012, 8:32:00 AM
Feel like the return of a long-lost cell member is God's gift this week I am undeserving of. Shared expectations/roles during team meeting yesterday, thought abit more about teamwork and why i've come to value it so much and realised that what I initially thought I knew about it in the context of badminton is vastly different from all the i've learnt and experienced in the past year or so. Badminton calls for teamwork in the form of delivering through your own match/game. People can cheer from the outside but once you walk on court you're alone. You're a good team player when people can count on you; you don't waver, because asking for help shows that you're inadequate on your own, which is undesirable because you know your value comes from being dependable- no matter what you are asked to play. Definitely definitely, off-court support was so so integral (and probably one of the highlights), but apart from that you've really gotta wing it on your own. But I'm thankful that I've been able to see how its different- how you can do so much more when you collaborate with people. Think its pretty cool how everyone really comes with different niches and talents/gifts. Not going to mull over how... unskilled I am because I need to remind myself that value doesn't lie in being skilled/having a niche even though the laws of demand and supply tell me otherwise. Humble myself and keep trooping on.. Your strength is made perfect in my weakness.. on another note, excited for cell word today. :) Always, always, God's grace. :) Saturday, March 3, 2012, 10:55:00 PM
Am thankful that at the end of an emotionally trying week I can cry out- that God I'm so so so small, but You're so big, so magnificent, so glorious. Broken, but You restore. |
